These photographs were taken in Portugal, Viseu, on October 2021. I see their imperfections, but I also see what I was trying to accomplish. I think the idea itself - of the natural world in transition to human-optimized shapes - is sound.

I also think that this particular series and the suddenness at which they transition isn’t exactly representative of Western reality: humanity has done an amazing job in increasing the amount of protected land. But in less-developed countries where people are still struggling to get to our level of earthly comforts, the march of progress is closer to this than perhaps they will like, in retrospect.
But who can blame them? They merely want to make their existence more bearable, as we did. Therefore, for them who are equal to us, progress has to be swift.
